The Osun Govt has confirmed that Lanreleke Sports Academy will represent Osun State at the National level of the Milo Basketball Championship. 

In the same breath , the government heaped praised on the Academy management for their outstanding performance at all levels of competition and for their contribution to advancement of educational and sporting activities in the state.

This is even as the government charged them to prepare better to represent the state in the upcoming National level of Nestle Milo basketball competition in Ibadan this year.

The acknowledgement is contained in a commendation letter signed by the permanent secretary, ministry of education following the state level basketball tournament where LSA female athletes emerged champions.

In the letter with Reference number N/ADM/7177/56, the government specifically commended the efforts of the academy for providing good training and administrative leverage for the students to continually showcase their skills, talents and abilities.

They also expressed optimism in the ability of LSA team to fly the Osun State flag at the national level of the competition slated to hold between Wednesday, 28 May-Wednesday, 4 June, 2025, at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

“I have the directive of the Permanent Secretary to commend the effort of your school Baskethall Female Team for emerging as the state winner in the just concluded state finals of 25th Edition of Nestle Milo Secondary School Basketball Championship held at Osogbo City Stadium on Wednesday 19th March, 2025 in the State.

“Kindly note that the team would proceed to represent the State at the Western Conference (Zonal stage) of the Competition slated to hold at Lekan Salami Basketball Indoor Hall, Adamasingha Stadium, Ibadan. Oyo State between Wednesday, 28 May-Wednesday, 4 June, 2025.

“Consequently, you are requested to forward the team group photograph and photo album to the Director, Schools Department on or before Wednesday 28th of May, 2025,” the letter read.
